Seems the quickest and the easiest way for one to establish himself or herself into the eyes of the community is for him/her to fire-breathe on Islam. He or she may even be crowned as being among the “most influential” person in the world; (as if the world is not wobbly enough with the already many “influential” individuals).

There is one Pastor planning to burn the Qur’an to mark the ninth anniversary of the destruction of the World Trade Center (BURNING QUR'AN-PASTOR JONES), seemingly ignorant that the Qur’an speaks honorably of the prophets of the Bible. Moreover, as a Pastor shouldn’t this man be Christ-like and “love his enemies” and forgive “seventy-times seven?” Given the humanness of the Bible/Gospels and the clouds of conjectures surrounding the existence of Jesus, but for the Qur’an/Islam/ Mohammad Jesus may have long since been relegated to the bin of myths and legends. It is the Qur’an/Islam/ Mohammad that is keeping Jesus alive; and not only keeping him alive but has cleansed him and his mother, Mary, of the calumnies of “bastard” and “adulteress,” respectively, hurled on them by Jewish Fathers, and appareled them in rubious robes of righteousness and have secured for them today the unflagging allegiance of some one-and-one-half billion Muslims. And counting, as Islam spirits on. Inexorably! Invincibly! Impregnably! As Divinely decreed! To prevail over all religions! Allāh, God, truly is Great! Subha-na Rabbayyal-A’laa!

The statements of the critics of Islam betray their abject ignorance of Islam or a dedication to terrify unthinking people into being fearful of Islam; or both. (Muhammad Ali’s translation of the Qur’an and his masterpiece The Religion of Islam are a King Solomon’s mine of knowledge. We have Pope Benedict’s XVI stupid rehashing of the centuries old twaddle that the only things “new” Mohammad brought were things “evil and inhuman” (ISLAM & THE POPE). One would expect such verbal and literary putrefaction from the Church’s/Christendom’s blind and bigoted votaries. No one can prove that Mohammad brought things “evil and inhuman.” This is an open challenge! (Incidentally, with the Church’s “sex abuse” scandal knocking at his door, instead of hiding away in the Vatican, the Pope, being “Christ-like,” [supposedly] should deliver himself like a “lamb” to his “shearers” and bear his cross).

Then there is the puerile DANISH CARTOONS depicting “Muhammad” as “terrorist” etc. The most amusing of these is the one showing the Prophet telling “suicide bombers” to stop: that heaven is out of virgins; and one by Swedish artist, LARS VILKS showing “Muhammad” with the body of a “dog.” (Cartooning Mohammad as a “dog” is criticism of Islam??? Is Freedom of Speech??? And by seemingly intelligent people??? Disgraceful!!! Evidently, man needs a new yardstick to measure intellect).

Muslims are not to be overwhelmed by these ancient echoes of falsehood. Fourteen hundred years ago Allāh, God, the Omniscient, gave us the prescription how to deal with this mindless mental malady. Says His Supreme Majesty in His Qur’an 3:185: “And you will certainly hear from those who have been given the Book before you and from the idolaters much abuse. And if you are patient and keep your duty, surely this is an affair of great resolution.” Allāh has decreed that Falsehood will perish and Truth will prevail; and so it has been; inexorably; for fourteen hundred years; and counting–(Qur’an 17:81; 21:18; 9:33). Islam is blessed with the intrinsic allure of reason. Glory, Praise and thanks to Thee, Your Highness!

No one can prove that Islam is evil or intolerant or compulsive or imperialistic. And no one can show any religion to be superior to Islam. Given Islam’s lofty and sublime doctrines –liberated man from the irrationality of polytheism, the futility and degradation of idolatry, the humiliation of superstition, the phantasm of paganism –of Gods of the womb and dying Gods and sons of God–, and took God from the bosom of nationalism and sat Him aloft on the Mount of Universalism; extols that everything in the heavens and the earth were created for our use and that the only presence greater than us is God and thus the only One worthy of worship; that one is better only by faith and deeds; to fulfill covenants and to keep oaths and not to be deceptive; to give justice even if it be against one’s self or parents or kins or whether he be poor or rich; not to act corruptly in the earth or to make mischief; not to be transgressors; not to help one another in sin and aggression; to restrain anger and forgive others; to fight on behalf of the oppressed; to be merciful and forgiving; to fight only as long as there is persecution and oppression and to make peace when the enemy desires peace; to return evil with that which is better; gives freedom of conscience; rescues the orphan, ennobles the slave, extricated WOMEN from the grave of infanticide and unchained her from the shackles of marital chatteldom and enthrones her alongside man from the cradle to paradise; instills in man morality, sobriety, and chastity, and impels him to personal, social, intellectual, and spiritual excellence– a Mosque is to be built not only in every country but in every city and in every town and in every village and if need be on every street. Only the occupier the usurper the oppressor the transgressor the exploiter the criminals the bigots and those dedicated to falsehood are terrified of Islam!

Blind Faith is no passport to paradise

“Come now, and let us reason together,

saith the Lord:

though your sins be as scarlet,

they shall be as white as snow;

though they be red like crimson,

they shall be as wool”

(Isaiah 1:18).

“Call to the way of thy Lord

with wisdom and goodly exhortation,

and argue with them in the best manner.

Surely thy Lord knows best him

who strays from His path,

and He knows best those who go aright.”

(Qur’an 16:125)

–Reason is the door to God–

If reason is the factor that separates us from, and elevates us above, the beast our judgment is to be based on reason, and if our judgment is not based on reason then we have degraded ourselves lower than the beast –seeing that they do not have the capacity to reason, and that we have this capacity and do not utilize it.

“God’s anger is revealed from heaven against

all the sin and evil of the people whose evil ways

prevent the truth from being known”

(Romans 1:18)

“Let them bear, on the Day of Judgment,

their own burdens in full, And also (part)

of the burdens of those without knowledge,

whom they misled.

Alas, how grievous the burdens they will bear”

(Qur’an 16:25).

DEDICATED

To the Glorious Truth

There is no God but Allāh;

Mohammad is the Messenger of Allāh.

To the Eternal Truth

Allāh, God, is One and Only; the Eternal, Absolute; on Whom all depend; He does not eat, drink, sleep, washroom or tire; having no consort and being Eternal and the Last and thus having no need for any to succeed Him He begets not (that God can do anything is no argument: this is not about God creating an item, this is about God having a family relation, Fatherhood, which requires the union of sperm and ovum; and as God does not have a consort therefore He could not have a son; Mary was not the consort of God so that Jesus should be son of God: ‘son of God’ is a metaphor for goodness–Genesis 6:1-2; 1 Chron. 28:6; Psalm 2:7; Matt. 5:9); being the First and Creator of all and thus could not have a mother He is not begotten –Allāh is the God Who was not in the womb, nor emerged from the vagina, nor suckled the breast of a woman, nor was circumcised–; being the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent, and only One in Attributes there is none like Him; being Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent He does not incarnate or have or need any associate or helper; being Just and as He does not judge people by their race or color –factors in which they had no choice– and as one is best only by his belief and deeds He has no chosen people to the exclusion of others, nor transfer the sins of one person to another, nor execute the pious for the impious–(Deut. 24:16; Ezek. 18:20; 2 Chr. 25:4; Romans 14:12; Gal. 6:4-7. It is a grave injustice to suffer the innocent for the guilty: even human governments strive against this injustice. God is the most Just–Deut. 32:4; Qur’an 3:108; 4:40; 8:51; 26:209; 41:46); being The Beneficent and The Merciful He needs no blood sacrifice to forgive sins; and as He forgives sins and rewards every good up to seven-hundred-fold there is no equal and opposite reaction to every action (the God that gives to every action an equal and opposite reaction is the God that is devoid of mercy. Allāh is so merciful He implores us in loving compassionate terms to forgive us our sins; He instructs the Prophet Mohammad to convey to us: “Say, O My servants who have sinned against their souls, despair not of the mercy of Allāh; surely Allāh forgives all sins. Verily, He is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful”–Qur’an 39:53.

To the Prophet Mohammad

Who brought the world to our feet

and eternity to our arms.

The wisest decision one can ever make is to declare belief in Allāh.

Why Kill The Critic

Seems every generation breeds its own litter of anti-Islamic critics who rehash the chaff of nothingness served out by their forefathers. In late nineteenth century India:

“The preaching of the Christian missionary until a short time ago was of quite a different character from what it is today. In those days, the Christian missionary was under the impression that the darker the picture he drew of the Prophet of Islam, the greater would be his success in winning over converts from among the Muslims (and some ignorant ones were snared)…Some of the Christian controversial books of those days must indeed be ranked as the filthiest literature that has ever been produced, apart from the fact that the founder of the Arya Samaj and some of his blind votaries imitated the Christian missionary, and, later on, the Arya Samajist preacher even surpassed the Christian missionary in the art of vituperation.

…To call the Holy Prophet an impostor, Dajjal or Anti-Christ, a deceiver, a dacoit, the slave of his sensual passions whose lust knew no bounds, and to attribute every conceivable crime to him became a habit with these Christian controversialists”¹.

In recent times, Christians (and critics) resorted to their disgraceful practice of yesteryear: vilifying Allāh, Mohammad, Islam, the Qur’an, and Muslims–the most significant of these slanders being the Danish Cartoons, and Pope Benedict XVI quote from a relic source that the only new thing Mohammad brought was “evil and inhuman.”

Muslims have responded to these slurs with demonstrations and violence. Muhammad Ali has given a glimpse for such Muslim reaction: “The Muslim is never so offended as when his Prophet is abused. He can submit to the greatest insult, but the one thing to which he will not submit is the abuse of the Holy Prophet Muhammad …. Nobody can gauge the depth of the love of a Muslim for his Prophet. It is a fact that the sting of the Prophet’s abuse affects the Muslim’s heart so deeply that he gets excited beyond all measure”².

Whereas slander and mischief are other matters, every person has the right to question and to comment on each and every religion. A religion that is displayed in the public gallery is an open subject to the light of investigation. And critics are to be able to make their expressions without fear of being violated–only that it is expected of them to substantiate their claims.

Regardless of our “religious sensibilities” it is disgraceful that critics and revilers of Islam are threatened or harmed or killed: they are to be educated. Islam, the religion of reason, arguments, and examples does not seek to silence voices: Islam seeks to enhance mentality: “Call to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in the best manner” –(Qur’an 16:125). ‘The superiority of the learned scholar over the pious worshipper is as the superiority of the (full) moon over the stars’–(Prophet Mohammad). If Muslims are not illuminated by this brilliance from Allah and His magnanimous Messenger, nothing can brighten the density of our minds. ISLAM is civility, intelligence, and democracy!

One who does not agree with the views of the other must take to the podium or take up the pen in refutation: this is the civilized and the intelligent and the “democratic” approach.

He who has no intelligent response in a matter is the one likely to attack the messenger, physically or verbally. One who attacks physically is a coward –violating (and even hiding) without being violated; and violating a person does not alter mentality, but in fact tends to lend support to his views– and one who attacks verbally is a jerk –calling a person “ugly” names or other vulgarities does not make him/her those names etc; but instead projects the caller as a fool.

There is no charge against Allāh, the Prophet, Islam and the Qur’an that is not refutable. The “perfected” Divine system cannot be “insulted.” Nor is there anything in the “perfected” Divine system for which to apologize. It’s perfect!

Even if the charges against Allāh, Mohammad, Islam, and the Qur’an are proved, yet this would not make Jesus God, son of God, vicarious atoner or that mankind inherited sin –these cardinal doctrines have no Divine foundation, no prophetic foundation, no logical foundation; and are repugnant to reason. Son of God belief is paganism–(Qur’an 9:30. See CHRISTIANITY; and the various topics on JESUS); nor would such proofs make karma and reincarnation Divine bequeaths: no one seems to know the origin of these doctrines (See HINDUISM).

The most profound expression of love for the Prophet is to defend him. On the Day of Judgment when we desperately will be seeking his intercession before Allāh we will at least have the joy and satisfaction of knowing that in this world we stood up for him.
